Animals are classified into two different groups: vertebrates and invertebrates.
- Vertebrate animals have internal skeleton or backbone.
- Invertebrate animals don´t have internal skeleton or backbone, they are classified into 6 groups: arthropods, jellyfish, echinoderms, sponges, worms and molluscs.
